A peaceful location it is just 1.5 miles from the historic and picturesque village of Slaidburn with famous ‘Hark to Bounty’ Inn, cafe, shop and post office and on/off road cycle hire. Clitheroe’s fine amenities and golf course are 9 miles away and close to Lancashire bridleway. The Yorkshire Dales is only 12 miles, the coast at Morecambe Bay is 20 miles and Blackpool and the Lake District is within easy reach. Excellent fishing 2.5 miles.

Beautiful countryside location, close to two villages. Good base for travelling to the surrounding areas including Blackpool and Yorkshire. Friendly and helpful onsite owner/manager, happy to answer any questions and queries. Lovely soft matteresses, perfect for a good night's sleep!

This cottage is situated in a lovely location for visiting Yorkshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Derbyshire and Cheshire. The hosts were lovely welcoming people and the surrounding villages are picture perfect. Overall a lovely enjoyable holiday.

For somewhere quieter, take a trip to genteel Lytham St. Annes, to the old fishing town of Fleetwood or to Morecambe Bay, one of our most important bird sanctuaries. All are just a short drive away when you take one of our Lancashire cottage holidays.
On your doorstep are the cities of Liverpool and Manchester. Don’t miss a trip to Salford Quays, home of the Lowry museum. And the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool has one of the finest art collections in the North. The city of Lancaster is also well worth a visit, with its immense neo-gothic cathedral. For rural tranquillity, make tracks to the Forest of Bowland, which is very popular with walkers and cyclists.
